Mention the name of pistachio in Greek sources

ساخت وبلاگ

In Greek sources, where the Iranian Pistachio pistachios of the Levant are mentioned, there is a reference to the fruit of the arborist. Galen and Discordius have described its properties and characteristics. Ibn Bitar (7th century AH) wrote from the words of Disqoridos that the pistachio crop of the trees in the evening is similar to that of the poplar tree (Ibn Bitar, Al-Jame 'Al-Mufradat Al-Adawiyah, Al-Jaz Al-Thani, p. 162) With the properties of pistachio (tree trunk), the foundation is the same tree whose types are mentioned in Arabic with the names of Battam, Habba Al-Khadra, Ban, etc. In Persian, Ban, Ben, Van, Saqez and Khanjuk, etc. are called Chatlanqush in Turkish. The names of these trees vary according to the shape of the fruit (similar to lentils or peas or small pistachios) and also according to the type of gum that is extracted from them. The range of growth of this type of trees is mainly in Iran (in Kurdistan region) in the slopes of the Zagros, which extends from the west to the Mediterranean coast.
