In which cities of Iran or which regions can pistachios be cultivated economically?

Various parts of Iran, such as Rafsanjan and Damghan, which were the cradles of pistachios, will no longer be economical to grow pistachios in them, the temperature has increased sharply, the level of underground water has decreased sharply, and the relative humidity of the air has reached about 10%. This means saying goodbye to the economic cultivation of pistachios. (It should be noted that 10% humidity is considered dry for breathing and is aoying.)

On the other hand, there are other cities that are currently experiencing the climatic conditions of Rafsanjan 40 years ago and are ideal for pistachio cultivation. Some cities that we can name in Iran are the cities around Lake Urmia, such as the city of Bonab and many cities in North Khorasan, which have the above-mentioned conditions.

Assuming alfalfa, the works around Urmia Lake are no longer logical and should be replaced by pistachio cultivation. Our recommendation is to plant hybrid (American) seedlings, which will grow faster and be more productive.

These pistachios are also grown in Califoia, America, and can be transplanted in the second year, and by planting them, you will have strong trees that will deliver a harvest beyond expectations. We are happy that the production of these seedlings has been done in the Aria Nursery Research Institute in Rafsanjan, with the efforts of Iranian researchers.
